At Creative Words, freelancers are at the heart of our global network, contributing their expertise to deliver exceptional translation, localization, and content creation solutions.

All linguists (translators, revisers, reviewers, post-editors, etc.) working for Creative Words must possess at least one of the following 3 qualifications:
Graduate degree in Translation/Linguistic Studies/Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education.
Graduate degree in any other field + the equivalent* of two years of proven full-time professional experience in translation.
The equivalent* of five years of proven full-time professional experience in translation.
*equivalence is based on an estimated productivity of 2,000 words/day * 5 days/week * 48 weeks/year (= 480,000 words equal to 1 year full-time professional experience).
In addition to the above, they must possess all of the following professional qualifications and competences:
Translation, linguistic and cultural competence when it comes to both source and target languages/cultures.
Competence in making the necessary research, acquiring information and processing such information.
Technical competence: in possession of the required infrastructure (both software and hardware) and able to make use of such infrastructure to carry out the tasks assigned to me by Creative Words.
Competence in the subject matters for any task directly assigned by Creative Words.
As per ISO17100:2015 certification, all Language Service Providers working on Creative Words’ projects need to ensure their vendors have the same qualifications.
